Junior Olymics - Day One

Day one was exciting. Approximately 700 competitors showed. There were 500+ fights today. Our kids did pretty good. We got Alex weighed in and he's ready to go...he'll be starting tomorrow at 9:00 and USA Judo is going to go ahead a let me sit in the coaches chair for my own son, which is a serious shock because I didn't pay the $50 bucks 3 months ago. In all sincerity, I love judo and everything about it, but USA Judo (as a governing body), really only exists for the money. The charge for everything, everywhere. I thought I wasn't going to even be able to coach my own son...what a bunch of crap! (but I could go on for years about that)..
